Good News

Yesterday was definitely a high point on this adventure!  We got an e-mail that the referral for our little guy will be coming very soon and we also got 6 more pictures from his 11 month visit.  The e-mail was unexpected, but we both smiled at his pictures and information (he already weighs over 20 pounds - more than either one of my children weighed at this age).  In the pictures we finally got to see him smile and learned that he is now standing and appears to be taking his first steps.  I believe I can say this for both of us, but we feel so much love for this little guy already (and all we have are pictures and information).  It's amazing how God knew he would be part of our family.

Application Process Completed!!!

YIPPY!!!  Got an e-mail today confirming our application process is complete and they are now reviewing our adoption study.  Next step will be assignment of a case worker who will step us through the adoption.  So more waiting...  The good news is that everything is moving along - they even sent some of the next step procedures (which include vaccinations).  Good news all around!

More Education...

So, we did have to do the additional education class online.  To complete the class we had to finish the accompanying evaluation form (which was really not as bad as we expected).  Once finished, we Faxed it in and now we wait so more (I am learning patience through this entire process).  Praying each and everyday to see the official referral in the mail for our little guy so the process can start to get him home.  We are so excited and feel so happy that the education hurdle is out of the way now (now, just wait).

Fustration

On a high note, we finally mailed our application to our secondary agency that puts us that much closer to our little guy on Monday (YIPPY).  They received it Tuesday and today I had an e-mail wondering if our adoption education was accredited or not and if not to do more (YUCK)!!!  I'm just praying we can get through this process and get the official referral for him soon (each and everyday keeps him that much more away from us).  We just want to bring our son home and love on him soon (we already love him so much)!  I know this will pass and I will do whatever is necessary to get him home quickly.  I guess I now know what they mean by paper pregnancy!

Starting our Blog!

We are excited to start this blog so people can follow us on our adoption journey to South Korea.  We have been working on paperwork now for about 2 months and just found out a few weeks ago that the little boy pictured on this blog is our new son.  We are praying we can get him home quicker than they estimate - so please pray with us that this will be a reality.  We also ask that you pray that he be safe and well taken care of by his foster mom and adjust well when he comes home.  We are so excited and can't wait to grow our family the way God is leading us too.
